Discover Scuba Diving
Take part in the adventure of a lifetime. Dive Today! You’ve always wanted to Scuba Dive, but you weren’t sure if it was for you. Well, now is your chance. The intro to Scuba begins in the pool. You will learn some basic skills in this controlled environment with a PADI certified instructor. After a short break, we take you out on the boat for 2 dives on the reef accompanied by a certified Instructor.
Pool and open water dive - $180
Add a second diver - just $165 each

Please download the Discover Scuba Diving sign up form. You may complete it prior to your arrival at the store and save some time. Please note that if you answer 'yes' to any of the medical questions, you will be required to have a Doctor's certificate giving you permission to dive.This does not mean to fudge the truth on the form. Diving does have its risks. Be safe. Be sure you are in shape for your dive.

Should you require a doctor's permission to take part in a Discover Scuba Diving session, please download this form and have it filled out by your physician.



Scuba Tune-up

This course is for the diver that has not been diving in more than 2 years. It is a good refresher course, reviewing your basic skills. Price includes pool refresher and 2 tank open water dive - $150

Open Water Diver - You have decided you are finally going to learn to dive!

E-Learning - $120 - a must before your confined and open water dives. Begin the classroom knowledge part of your course in the comfort of your own home and on your time schedule. This link directs you to the Padi site where you can sign up for the online portion of your dive course. After completion, contact Keys Diver to schedule the confined and open water parts of the course to complete your certification. You must be at least 10 years old to begin your e-Learning course. Divers between 10 and 14 qualify as Jr. Open Water Divers.

The Diving part of your course consists 5 confined water (pool) dives plus 4 open water reef dives on board Keys Diver II. All sessions are with a PADI certified instructor and include rental gear, instruction, boat dives and PADI certification. The entire course will take 2-3 days depending on weather and sea conditions.

Open Water Referral - If you have completed your Knowledge Reviews and Confined Water portion of your course, say, in your own home town, and just need the open water dives - 4 boat dives - $275

Rescue Diver - Congratulations you made it through Open Water and Advanced Open Water! But your still hungry for more, so, you decide to advance your skills with the PADI Rescue Diver class. The course consists of 5 classroom knowledge development sections and 5 pool sessions followed by open water rescue scenarios. This class will develop your skills in recognizing signs of diver distress and diving related medical emergencies. The rescue Diver crew pack must be purchased seperately and studied completely prior to taking the class. Knowledge reviews will be done during your course.

Emergency First Responder
– EFR is a one-day course covering Basic First Aid, CPR and the use of an AED. Class includes CPR/First Aid and Oxygen Therapy Training. EFR is a required prerequisite to the Rescue Diver Course - $125

Divemaster- Looking for the first step in working with scuba as a career? Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational scuba diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. PADI Divemaster is the prerequisite certification for both the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications.

Specialty Courses

Christ

Deep - Explore the depths of the ocean with this specialty course. Prerequisite is Advanced Open Water. Course includes 4 dives. Upon successful completion of this class, you will be certified to dive 130ft, the maximum recreational diving depth - $350

Night - Learn to dive at night with this specialty course. Prerequisite is Open Water.  Includes 2 night dive trips to the reefs of Key Largo. See the marine life in a whole new light. Parrotfish, eels, turtles, yellowtail, and spotted drums are just some of what you will encounter on your night dive - $185

Wreck
- Dive some of the greatest wrecks in Key Largo with the wreck specialty course. Prerequisite is Advanced Open Water.  This class will teach you how to safely plan a dive on a wreck, penetrate, and tie off inside the wreck. 4 dives with Keys Diver, and the advanced knowledge of safe wreck diving - $350

DPV - Dive Propulsion Vehicle specialty course.  Soar through the depths of the ocean on a dive propulsion vehicle. This class will safely teach you how to operate a DPV. After a quick lesson in the pool, we take you out to the best classroom this planet has to offer! Price includes 2 dives - $200



Digital Underwater Photography
- Take only pictures, leave only bubbles! Take extremely cool photos underwater, while learning how currents, water movement, and lighting underwater affect your pictures. Learn how to edit your photos in Adobe Photoshop or using free software. Price includes 2 dives - $195

AWARE Fish ID – Hey, what was that fish down there with black and white, kind of small and a curve like fin? This class teaches you the basics of AWARE Fish ID. Learn how to distinguish several of the many species of fish in the Florida Waters. The answer to the first question is Spotted Drum. Price includes 2 Dives - $185

Peak Performance Buoyancy - Have you ever lost more than 2 pounds in one day? With this class you will lose weight and be a better diver. Fine-tune you underwater buoyancy skills.  Learn how to utilize your breathing rate to increase you time spent underwater. Price includes 2 Dives - $185

Boat Diver - Dolphins spotted of the port side of the boat! Port huh? You mean there is dessert wine on the boat? Uh…No. The Boat Diver specialty will teach you all of the technical jargon used on any vessel, where equipment is located on most boats, wind and current conditions, and the many different types of dive boats. Price includes 2 dives - $185

Navigation –Where am I? In the navigation class you will learn how to navigate more than just a square or a triangle. This class will teach you advanced compass use for navigation or searches. Price includes 3 Dives - $185

Search and Recovery - Search for lost treasure, or another buddy’s camera. Learn the techniques used for lifting heavy objects, and using a lift bag. Price includes 2 dives $200
